Muran is an upcoming Indian Tamil-language action thriller written and directed by debutant Rajjan Madhav. Produced by Cheran, it stars himself alongside Prasana, with Nikita ,Haripriya and Jayaprakash in pivotal roles. Launched in September 2010, the film's shooting was completed by July 2011. The story revolves around two contrasting characters and depicts the incidents that occur when they meet each other. Muran, co-produced and to be distributed by UTV Motion Pictures, is slated for a release on September 16, 2011. The film is supposed to be based on Alfred Hitchcock's psychological thriller Strangers on a Train(1951).
