Hyderabad, Aug 6 (PTI) Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) president K Chandrasekhar Rao lashed out at Union Home Minister P Chidambaram for suggesting that people of Andhra Pradesh themselves should come up with a solution to the contentious state bifurcation issue. "Who asked him for counsel? We only wanted him to arbitrate. Is consensus not required to keep the state united if it is required for division?" Rao remarked. The TRS chief was speaking at the audio release of 'Poru Telangana' movie here tonight. Reacting to former Chief Minister K Rosaiah's suggestion that all Telangana agitations be put on hold in view of Sonia Gandhi's hospitalisation, Rao asked, "Is Parliament not working? Has the Government of India stopped functioning in her absence?" The TRS chief, however, also wished Gandhi a speedy recovery. He asserted that all agitation programmes seeking a separate state would continue as planned. "We will create a storm and secure Telangana," he said. Earlier in the day, addressing the TRS executive meeting, Rao asked what the Union Home Minister and Central government were for, if people of the state have to resolve the statehood dispute by themselves. He pointed out that Article 3 of the Constitution gave the power to the Central government to create new states. "Ambedkar had clearly spelt it out in the Constitution without any ambiguity.
