
Pulapaka Susheela (Telugu: పి. సుశీల) (born November 13, 1935) is an Indian playback singer. In a career spanning more than four decades, she has recorded songs in many Indian languages including Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada, Hindi, Bengali, Oriya, Sanskrit, Tulu, Badaga and Sinhalese.
In 1950, music director Pendyala Nageswara Rao was looking for new talent and scouted for new singers at All India Radio. Of the five people referred, Susheela was selected and sang her first song, a duet titled "Edhukku Azhaithaai", with A. M. Raja for the 1951 Tamil movie Petra Thaai (Kanna Thalli in Telugu). She was only 16 years old at the time; the song was recorded in 1951 on a Telugu New Year's Day in Prakash Studio.
